Audio echo transferring from VCR

Hoping someone can help with how to correctly set up a vcr transfer to hard drive. I am running Windows 11, OBS 30.0.2. VCR output routed to PC using UTEC USB 2.0 video capture ( RCA output to USB ). Video capture is clean, but I am getting an audio delay/echo. My settings in audio mixer are to enable desktop audio....all other audio inputs are disabled. Advice?
