I fixed my issue. Billn, do you use voicemeeter? I use that and did extensive testing and using the obs x264 encoder or NVENC encoder I was having the same issue on playback of my stream the audio would cut off and then come back on but that was not happening while playing the game. I then streamed via shadowplay and when I played that back there was no audio issues. I couldn't figure it out until I realized I had voicemeeter running. So I then shutdown voicemeeter and set my playback and recording devices back to my soundcard and mic and streamed again with obs using the x264 encoder and then I had no audio issues. Not wanting to leave voicemeeter off I checked my setting again and saw that the VB cables I used and my sound devices were not matching up to the 16bit 48Hz that voicemeeter was set too. I changed all devices to match voicemeeter which was 16 bit 48Hz and using voicemeeter and obs I streamed one final time and have no issues with my audio on playback any longer. So if you have voicemeeter check to make sure that all your devices match.
