Question / Help Audio doesn't play in recording

I am using a Macbook Pro with OS X Yosemite and am having trouble getting the sound to capture. My headphones are Steelseries Siberia v2. I use an adapter to plug in both the mic and audio into a single outlet since mac only has one.

When I start recording, it captures everything I say into the mic just fine but any audio that's playing on the computer is not captured. When I go to settings under audio, it says desktop audio device is disabled and there are no selections.

How can I capture both the mic and audio that's coming from the computer? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks, that worked. However, unless I turn my sound all the way up, I can barely hear the recording. Not plausible to have the sound all the way up with my headset on. It becomes way too loud.

Have you tried Soundflower instead?
