Hi, I've been using OBS regularly for a little over a year now and this issue has just started fairly recently. I'll sometimes get up to 1 second of delay on my audio for my recordings or my streams. Sometimes less or none at all, it seems to depend on the game, but it's hard to tell. Here's an example log:
12:21:46.988: [game-capture: 'Game Capture 3'] attempting to hook process: Rogue Legacy 2.exe
12:21:46.989: [game-capture: 'Game Capture 3'] using helper (compatibility hook)
12:21:46.991: [game-capture: 'Game Capture 3'] hook not loaded yet, retrying..
12:21:47.615: Max audio buffering reached!
12:21:47.615: adding 917 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 960 milliseconds (source: Desktop Audio)
12:21:47.615:
12:21:51.005: [game-capture: 'Game Capture 3'] attempting to hook process: Rogue Legacy 2.exe
The weird thing I've noticed is that my recordings yesterday had the delay, but the logs made no mention of audio buffering. I've tried a number of google searches and solutions, but nothing has worked so far.
I have a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K and ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 (LGA1700) with Windows 10. My CPU almost never goes above 20% while using OBS, so yeah, I'm stumped. If anyone has had a similar issue and tried something that worked, please let me know. Thanks for reading this, I appreciate any possible help.
