Question / Help Audio defaults to "disabled"

Hello,

I am streaming from a Diamond VC500 capture card. Whenever I hit "Start Recording," the audio settings on that source defaults to "disabled" and the stream loses the audio from it (even when it was previously working in preview mode). In order to get the audio working again, I have to open EZ Grabber (the recording software that came with the capture card). When I do this, it switches automatically back to "use device audio" and the audio starts working fine again.

Additionally, if I press "refresh" under the source properties, it defaults back to "disabled" for the audio settings.

Anyone with thoughts on what is happening here?

Thanks.

Hello,

I just purchased a Diamond VC500 capture card to stream with and am having trouble. When using the software that came with the capture card, I can capture both video and sound but when I use video capture with OBS I only get video. I must also use Analog Audio in (USB2.0 video capture) or else no audio OR video will show up in OBS. Reading previous threads, this looks to be a problem that has been occurring for years now. What have been the solutions in the past?

Thanks,
