Question / Help Audio De syncs from my separate DAW over time

Apologies if this has been addressed before, however, I couldn't seem to find an answer that fixed my problem.

So I capture video using OBS and record audio separately through a DAW (Reaper). I do this because I record multi-channel audio as we run 2-3 mics at a time. I use the OBS audio as a sort of scratch track to help sync it in post, however, I found that the audio de syncs over time which is really odd.

Everything is running at the same sample rate of 44.1khz so that's checked off the list. I can't seem to figure out why the audio could possibly de sync like this over the length of the recording.

Windows is out of date and game mode is on. This negatively impacts OBS performance. Run the October 2018 update and turn off game mode. Instructions are below.

21:20:09.233: adding 23 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 23 milliseconds
21:20:09.508: adding 46 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 69 milliseconds
21:24:04.704: Max audio buffering reached!
21:24:04.704: adding 975 milliseconds of audio buffering, total audio buffering is now 1044 milliseconds

Audio is being delayed getting into OBS. This can be caused by system overload or by driver issues. Sorry I can't be more helpful there, but the log only shows what OBS knows about, and what it knows about is that its audio input is slowing.

I also notice you're running your webcam at full resolution. This also negatively impacts performance, especially in situations where the image itself is used on only a small portion of the screen.

21:49:59.723: warning: Too many bits 7430.385488 > 6144 per frame requested, clamping to max

I don't know if that's related to your issue at all, but it is the first time I've seen this message. Maybe someone else knows more.
