I've been having this problem ever since I started using OBS Studio. I'm using the most current version of the software, and updated my hardware yesterday with a new graphics card and double the RAM I had before. Yesterday, for the first time, there was no audio de-sync when I played Stardew Valley. Usually, depending on my Bitrate and Output Resolution, the de-sync between my Desktop Audio and my Game Capture is anywhere between 1-15 seconds. I would set a purposeful sync, but I never know how off the visual the sound is going to be, since it varies. Yesterday, after the upgrade, everything seemed perfectly fine, no de-sync at all. I was expecting the upgrades to have fixed the issue, but tonight the de-sync was back with what my community told me was a two second delay between an action playing on screen and the audio playing to match. This same problem has not only occured when streaming Stardew Valley, but with my alerts from Muxy and Streamlabs (I tried both, the desync was the same)
Here's the log from the stream: https://gist.github.com/93084bab5846e23d107a185f561a940c
I've looked everywhere for solutions to this problem, and have tried several methods of fixing it, but even when toying with the bitrate and the output resolution, the problem isn't completely fixed and the video quality becomes very poor. I'd really like to find a way around this issue without having to sacrifice stream quality. The thing that confuses me the most is the fact that last night was perfectly fine and without delay, and tonight OBS Studio and my computer were back to their old tricks.
Since I initially made this post last night, I've tried a few new things, and this is happening as well:
When I open OBS Classic OR OBS Studio, there's an audio de-sync when I'm watching another stream, not even streaming myself, that gets increasingly longer the longer I have either program open. This has never been an issue with Classic, so even though it's no longer supported, I figured I could try a temporary workaround and use it for the time being. I have no idea what could be causing this, but I figured it's important to note it, as the issue doesn't just happen once I'm streaming, but just by having either program open.
Also, I'd like to note that my webcam for art streams and my mic are perfectly in sync. I don't know if this helps or makes things more confusing, but I really hope it helps. I've searched this problem extensively and have yet to find a solution.
