Audio cuts out after a few seconds of no audio

So if I have OBS running a game or something, it will pick up my mic and the audio output. But after I close the game, the input and output audio will cut out and just not work anymore. I have my headset set as default and have it properly set up in obs. I can’t seem to find a fix and I’m running out of ideas.

The issue is that when there is no sound being output, the input (mic) just stops working. If there is noise being output then my mic is working but as soon as it stops my mic just cuts out and the bar doesn’t even move. Like it doesn’t detect it.
