Question / Help Audio Crackling when connected to Elgato HD60S

Software works great with the audio. When connecting OBS, audio crackles. I've tried...
  • Changing audio from Game Capture to Direct Audio (Wave Out/Direct Sound)
  • Changing my streaming bitrate so low it's silly with no luck.
  • Disabled all other streaming components (webcam, web alerts, etc.)
  • Checked for driver updates on Elgato and Windows.
  • Unplugged all USB 3.0 except for Elgato.
  • Switched out all cables (even though we know this isn't it because it works fine in the proprietary software).
  • Switched to Streamlabs OBS, and still the same problem.
With my Elgato, there is not an advanced audio bitrate option as with the Elgato HD60 Pro. My PC is a brand new build, there are no other issues with this computer.

Has anybody else experienced this or have any other trouble shooting ideas? I'm at my wits end -- I'm about ready to just buy the PCI-e Card.

I have. They are set to 48 kHz. Tried switching them to 44.1 to just check, and no difference.

I have EL Gato HD60, the non S version, which is usb 2.0. I solved the pops and crackling by simply changing from direct sound to wave out and that made them go away. I also updated firmware.

I made a small video. Hope this helps:
