Question / Help Audio Crackle

I have been beating my head all day long on why OBS audio from my mic is crackling. I of course adjusted the gain etc. and have ensured the meter never goes into red yet and even tried keeping it all well in the green all to no avail. I even bought a Yeti Nano and still the same issue.

THEN I noticed something. When I close and reopen OBS, the mic audio is perfect, however, the minute I play an MP4 video, the mic starts to crackle from that point onward until I restart OBS again. I am on version 24.0 64bit Windows 10.

Any ideas what is going on? Does not matter the MP4 I play.
 
I've had issues with audio too now my game audio comes through my speakers through my output source it never did that before
 
23.0.8 seems to bring the audio crackle problem for me too.
Windows/Magwell.
Audio ok but outgoing crackles
 
I am using obs 25.0.8 and am also having this issue as soon as I start to introduce music through the desktop audio output source. Mic on its own is fine.
