Audio crackle only during stream. Recording sounds fine.

I'm getting an audio crackle when I stream. During my tests there seems to be no issue at all. This is fairly random though. It appears at times and it doesnt appear at another time.

Case 1 - day 1
One one particular day I had the crackle, I restarted OBS and it was gone (48Khz audio sample rate, Video bit rate 2500kbps) . Used a USB hub

Case 2 - day 2
Had the crackle at 48Khz audio sample rate, Video bit rate 2500kbps. Changed the audio sample to 44.1Khz video bit rate to 2000kbps..the crackle was gone.

Used a USB C to USB C had the crackle. Changed it to USB hub with USB C(ATEM mini out) - USB type A no crackle.

I disabled Norton antivirus's Auto protect and had no crackles.

Opening animation was an Mov uncompressed + bg music - had cracke. Compressed the animation and removed bg music no crackle

Most of the issue posted has answers by itself. If there's anyway to pinpoint the issue so that I dont face the same issue it would be of great help.

I had similar problems until tonight. I have a Dell XPS 15 9570 and stream videos via OBS to YouNow. The crackle increased when I did more in the web browser, or opened other applications. I tried all the optimisation suggestions, but uninstalling my Realtek audio drivers and letting them reinstall automatically on startup has solved it, at least for tonight.

I've had too many erratic problems with OBS and I bought a basic version of Vmix and it works without a problem. OBS is a great tool but some of the basic functionalities are not handled well...unfortunately.

I can report that two weeks later, after uninstalling my Realtek audio drivers, I am still not getting any audio crackling.
