Question / Help Audio Capture + Resize/Crop Video Capture. (Update, [ASK] Is there any way to record with smaller size?)

Hello guys. Sorry for my stupid question, but I really confused how to use or enable this feature.

1. Audio Capture
I'm using USB headphone. So for the recording, I need to choose the Desktop Audio into Headphone right for record my laptop sound (game or etc)? I already enable "only" mic that I used for recording (disable all other mic), but why when I speak, my voice became Echoed? When I mute the desktop audio, my voice became normal. When I tap my headphone (while unmute desktop audio), it looks like the sound came from there. Where did I do wrong here?

2. Resize Webcam
How to resize webcam size? I try to look from my webcam properties, there is no option for that. I want to resize it, because my laptop not that high spec, so I want to try to low my recording settings. One of the suggestion I got from googling, is to resize the webcam.

3. Crop Video
How to crop or adjust the webcam and video capture? In classics version, there are option for "edit scene". meanwhile in new version, I can't find it. I try to google it, but I don't know the right keyword. I look some guide in youtube, everyone that use the newer version of OBS, when they open the OBS, there are already the "red line" in the preview (or main view of the OBS), that can be drag to resize or crop the video or webcam. How I can enable that? Already hold alt, or ctrl+shift, still no clue how thats work.

Again, sorry for my stupid and beginner question. Already try to google it, but I didn't find anything. Don't get the right keyword for that. Thanks for whoever read this thread.. :D

Hello, thanks for your reply. I already try to hold alt. But there isn't any crop border or line that indicated can be drag. For what you said, you did it in the main screen of the OBS Studio right? For me, after hold alt, there isn't something like that. Is there any option to enable that?

Its just like that. When I press and hold alt.. Any correction from what I doing?

Before resizing or cropping, click on the source you intend to resize or crop, so it is selected and OBS knows what source you intend to modify.

Oh god, I finally found the cause why I can't do it. Because the preview is "LOCKED"..

Thanks for the help :D

Now, I just need the answer for my sound problem. Still got echoed when I used my mic and USB Headphone. :(

Update : My sound problem is half solved (after I change my headphone). The sound not double anymore, but sometimes its stuttering.

My new question, is there any possible to change video output with mini HD quality? I mean, I already use low setting output for the video that I record, but the size tho. It feels too big.

I asking this, because when I using Dxtory long ago, there is an option to change video output (I forgot what its call), so I can record with High quality but smaller size (I think I change the codec or whatever it calls, I forgot). Is there any way for OBS to do that?

Making the files smaller requires the computer to work harder. If you're already getting stuttering, that's probably not a great idea. The only other way is what youve done-- lower the resolution.
