Hoping someone can tell me what I might be doing wrong, if anything.
Currently I'm running my SNES/N64 through a Framemeister which outputs HDMI to an X-Capture USB 3.0 Capture card.
When I open the capture in the software provided by the manufacturer (VideoKeeper) I see picture and hear the audio. When I add the video source to OBS and select the capture card as the custom audio device, I simply cannot get the audio to play in the recording or on stream.
If I select output to desktop audio (directsound or waveout) it plays perfectly through the desktop speakers which shows me everything seems to be coming through.
What's so bizarre is when I have it in "audio capture only" mode I actually see the captured audio being correctly reflected in the green audio bar. On a silent menu in a game for example the green audio bar sits quietly on the left side of the screen. Hit the up/down arrow on the controller (producing a "menu" sound) and the bar reflects it. It seems to be picking it up perfectly based on the green bar, but for whatever reason it just won't record/stream the captured audio! (Note, this is with all TVs off so background noise is not creating the green bar recognizing the captured audio.)
Can I get it to work by using output to desktop audio? Sure, but it's pretty inconvenient and I'm hoping I'm just missing something obvious.
Greatly appreciate any help.
