Question / Help Audio Capture in Catalina

I'm starting to run into a few issues with iShowU Audio Capture since Catalina. The driver kinda crashes unexpectedly every so often, the audio source 'stream' that includes both my audio capture and my audio interface stops working and I have to switch to my audio interface to hear to anything. Also, found all videos in browsers stop running, and kinda lag out, and stutter until I switch out of audio capture. I've tried reinstalling the latest software but it seems Shiny White Box, the creators of iShowU only package the latest version of audio capture with their apps now, something to do with too many support requests.

It seems like all alternatives now are paid to capture desktop audio. Not sure what to do now.

Yes, hence my question. If there's an alternative to Sound flower, I'd be interested in hearing any recommendations.

I'm not migrating my main Mac to Catalina until Audacity 2.4 with explicit Catalina support. But I'll still need a replacement for the audio management software once that happens.

So I haven't fully tested it yet, but I downloaded a demo version of one of Shiny White Box's newest programs. iShow U Instant and it let me install the new driver without buying the program, not sure if after the trial period is over, it'll break the driver but we'll see.

I had the same problem as you. sound start to get distorted after few minutes or it will totally crashed. I will have to close NDi link and re-open it and it will work for few minutes but will crash or video lag again. I saw a video where somebody recommend Sound Siphon. I downloaded it and give it a try. It is working pretty good. I like the option that you can created virtual output and can capture let say web browser audio, game capture audio, etc etc separate and you can turn any of the source off. But the program cost $49 dollars. They let you try for 14 days which it is what I'm doing. Unfortunately I only have 3 days left and I'm hoping I showU can fix their problem with Mac Catalina. Other wise I may have to pay fo sound siphon. but it is a great software
