Audio being picked up with everything turned off

I am getting this problem where OBS is picking up audio from my microphone even though I have everything disabled under the "Global Audio Devices" and under the sources section all audio input is also disabled.

In the Windows settings Sound Control Panel, can you try to disable all of your recording devices (one by one) and see if that helps you find the source?

(make sure to check the "show disabled devices" so that you can re-enable them after the test)

I have disabled everything and the problem is in fact the microphone I am trying to use. When I re-enable it, OBS starts picking it up again, even if every thing is disabled in OBS. Could it be because it is a headset that is only plugged into one jack?

Can you do a quick test? Can you make sure everything is disabled and try to record a 15 second video in OBS :
i.e. hit the start recording button, clap your hands while waiting 15 seconds, then hit the stop recording button.

If you listen to the recording, do you hear your hands clapping?

Hmm it seems it just kinda fixed itself? I have been trying disabling and reenabling things, and rebooting OBS all day, but now it just doesn't seem to be happening anymore.
