I'm new to OBS, but have so far been loving it. I've had great luck recording gaming footage through an HDMI capture card and using the Output Timer to stop the recording automatically whenever I inevitably forget to. Everything records great and playback is smooth...until I go to edit the recording.
After trimming the recording, clipping out sections in the middle and exporting a new clip, the audio and video get out of sync AFTER the sections that get trimmed out (before the trimmed sections is fine). It's almost like the video gets trimmed, but the audio doesn't.
I've tried recording in different formats, using different editors (Quicktime and Shotcut) and exporting in different formats and every time it's the same. I've previously recorded directly through Quicktime using the same method and editing in the same way and not had an issue. It's only when I record videos through OBS.
Does anybody have any idea what might be going on here? I've tried searching the forums a bit, but it's such a specific issue that it's hard to find any relevant results. Any help anyone could provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!
