I was using OBS version 27.2.4
to speak in live shows with my microphone connected to the sound card (focusrite 6i6 2nd) I used the ASIO drivers compatible with OBS: obs-asio-installer_3.1.0

since I upgraded to OBS 28
input driver is no longer recognized ...
so I downgraded back to 27.2.4
but they are not even recognized anymore ....

i tried to install different asio driver versions (2.0.3 and 3.1.0)
but it is NEVER displayed in the scene menu .. please can you help me ...?

one thing to note:
I have set a Sidechain between the master output and microphone input
(every time I talk, the microfno of the game goes down)
It was shocking to notice that just as I spoke, the volume of the game was muted. obtaining absolute silence .. (so the signal arrives, activates the compressor that compresses the master, but on the other hand I don't have the microphone signal at the output .. I just got silence!)
in those moments when I did not understand, the heartbeats are accelerated ..

I had the exact same issue Thursday night after letting OBS upgrade and then rolling it back. Same basic solution. I spent about 90 minutes troubleshooting. I wish I'd read this first. I didn't need to recreate the scene, but I did have to recreate the source and propagate across all scenes.

one of the substantial updates of this new version
it is the possibility to use HDR while you are streaming .. (obs will send the non-hdr signal in live)

but why hasn't OBS been configured to recognize ASIO drivers ???
are we in the era of USB microphones? (I'm a sound engineer, don't tell me about usb microphones please ..)

seriously... do you think there will be ASIO driver support for OBS released ???
how do you communicate the audio of your analog microphone to obs? (using an external audio device)

You can use any ASIO app out there that can be used with OBS like Voicemeeter / VB-Cable, an ASIO plugin which is out there, etc.
This was solved this way years ago and works just fine. A simple web search will give you the answer your looking for.

I have troubleshot all of these for days now and there is no current compatibility with ASIO and OBS. I feel everbody's pain here as I just figured out how to get my Cubase audio into OBS via the reastream plugin. I'm sure it will be fixed in time.
