Asio input capture Keeps disconnecting

I have been trying to run my Universal Audio apollo 8p through OBS and at first I was just using the normal audio input capture source but the sound was crackling horribly, I tried all the fixes I could find online and couldnt get a clean sound. Then i found out about the Asio input plugin and finally got a clean sound through OBS but after I hit record to test the audio and then stop the recording the Asio input source is no longer picking up the audio signal. Sometimes even without hitting the record button the audio signal will just stop. The only way to get an audio signal again is to change the line inputs, click Okay and the reopen the properties and set them again. And then it happens all over again.

Any help would be much appreciated.
