Hi, I tried searching to see if anyone else has already had a solution to this problem but wasn't able to find a similar situation.
Here's my setup/situation:
I had been using a single scene collection for a few months since initial installation of OBS, which had been working fine but I recently found some free use graphics that I wanted to start using to improve overall stream quality. When I first set that old scene collection up I discovered that to use my microphone through my UAD Apollo Solo, I would need to install an ASIO plugin for OBS to communicate with the UAD Console. I vaguely remember that being a bit of a hassle but I was able to get it working.
Cut to a couple days ago when I was trying to set up a new scene collection with the new graphics, etc. and then go to add my audio devices and I see that I can't just import them from the other scene collection. Not a big deal I thought, I could just manually set it up again. I get my desktop audio device set and working, but then when I try to set up my ASIO source, it doesn't work.
So here's the issue:
The ASIO source shows in my scenes' source box, but doesn't show up in the mixer with the desktop audio. And when I check the Advanced Audio Properties, the ASIO device shows "Inactive."
If I go back to my old scene collection, the microphone/ASIO source still works just fine, and shows Active in advanced properties. I triple checked the settings on the ASIO source in the new collection and they match all the properties of the old one, and have tried re-creating it multiple times, but nothing seems to work.
Other things I've tried include restarting OBS, restarting UAD Console, restarting PC, reinstalling ASIO4ALL plugin, and reinstalling the UAD drivers, but no change.
Am I just going to have to re-make my new scenes in my old collection, or is there something I'm missing that can make my microphone work in my new collection?
Any help is appreciated :)
Thank you!
