Asio (again)

I've just started using OBS and I'm very impressed, it's very stable, but it really does need asio support, here's why, it's fairly simple......The asio drivers that My card proivider made actually have a much better sound quality, I noticed the same thing when I tried out asio4all briefly, then took it back off as it sounded horrible. I have literally just tried using OBS with voicemeeter banana and the voicemeeter asio drivers sound awful too. I'm no comnputer programmer but I do know sound (DJ for 25 years and producer for 13 years) and what sounds good and what doesn't. The thing that stumps me is that OBS sees My soundcards asio outputs but can't select them......PLEASE make this right then OBS will be complete!!!

Edit: Asio is also essential for using NI Traktor as the wdm drivers don't work very well with Traktor and do not offer sufficiently low latency for good jog reponse and smooth playback at the same time.........

And I can't even get OBS to receieve a signal from voicemeeter.........

ASIO is a very complicated thing to implement, and since it's still fairly niche it has been low priority. It is, however, being worked on by members of the community. No ETA to when it will be complete.

That's great news but I asio isn't niche, it's been around donkeys years.........anyway not getting into an arguement as that's not why I came here.......I just wanted to give My opinion as an audiophile! Thanks for replying :)

Right after spending all day messing around with asio link and voicemeeter amazingly I've just managed to get to Traktor to go straight into OBS by going from asio output to asio input via cables, for some reason the asio input works for OBS but not the output, My soundcard is an ESI Waveterminal 192m for those who want to know, great card......and as I have loads of asio ins and outs I can route a monitor mix to another output too......very goooood........

Sounds horrible is very vague description.
In what way does it sound horrible? Skipping, distorting etc.
Do you have audio samples?

Are you running the same sample rate (i.e. is the resampler bad)?
Are the levels appropriate?
Bad sound could be created in so many ways!
