Question / Help are following video capture devices supported?

OBS Experts,
I have an old video capture device (see picture below) from Pinnacle that I got when I purchased Pinnacle Studio 15 many years ago
I now moved to Mac and I would like to use OBS to convert some old VHS into MP4
Is OBS compatible with such device? I tried to add a new capture source but in the top-down menu I could only find my FaceTime camera on the Mac so it seems it is not supported, but I am asking here to be sure
Alternatively are "CSL Grabber Video" or "MyGica EZ Grabber Box" devices supported? (both video capture devices can be purchased on Amazon for 25 to 35 euros)
Many thanks!
Peval

Try using one of these devices as a camera in apps like Skype or FaceTime. If they see them, OBS probably will as well.

If they don't, then not. Most of the devices like the above, with FireWire (DV) connections are pretty old and probably do not have drivers that work with current versions of MacOS.

For use with OBS on MacOS I generally suggest Magewell, BlackMagic or AJA.

The only way to check any of the various inexpensive devices would be to try one.

Thank you Narcogen!
the device has an USB connection on the back, and that is what I plugged into my Mac however the system does not detect it as a camera
I tried to install Pinnacle on my Windows 10 virtual machine on Parallels and actually it was able to detect it and it works
Also I found out that Pinnacle installed the following driver:
Dazzle VIdeo Capture DC100 x64 driver
this means that the device is a Dazzle one rebranded Pinnacle
I can use it on the Win VM but I would have liked to use it directly on the Mac
Is there any other option given the recent findings that you may be aware of?
Thanks in any case!!
