hie to all, i am trying to repoduce an effect i saw in a video for an overlay for OBS that seem great, its a split screen, of a game and a webcam cut by a diagonal line.

here is the link to the video that has that effect on youtube :

the effect start at 0:51

here is a google drive link with an image of it and a still of the effect on my google drive :

- on the left side of the screen you got a small game capture windows that goes a bit beyond the line that split the screen and the part beyond the diagonal line is hidden
- on the right side the other part is the webcam ( and same thing for the effect but reverse )

i have been struggling because when i finaly succeed with a mask to obtain almost the same, the transition between the scene game/webcam to full screen game ( or vice and versa) is horrible, when i switch the game doesn't show up for few second ( overlay are already charge)

explanation :
what i did for the split :
-i applied a mask to the game capture windows, and for the full game i had to make a second game capture windows without the mask, otherwise they would both share the same mask.

but like i said i ended with nothing really fluid and i don't know why.

then it occure to me, in the video the games played is a ps4 game, that mean its a full screen capture, doing so in both scene with one capture with effect and the other without doesnt show any lag.

but now i have to spare a full screen on my right for the game, and cant look in front of me to the webcam ( green screen behind me so i can't move the webcam)

any idea on how to fix this ?

thx
