Question / Help Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware.

Okay, this is an issue I am having with OBS and XSplit, but I prefer OBS so I'll ask here.

Everytime I run OBS in the background, regardless if I am streaming or not, my games will crash. I'll get a notification from Windows 10 that says the following: "Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware."

This has happened with The Witcher 3, Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, and now Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Just Windows Defender, but I've turned it off.

Have you run Obs Studio as admin?

run Obs as administrator , right click it and select as Administrator

Care to mention your operating system and guess the correct name of broken application etc
