So I use this laptop for OBS presentations primarily so OBS has been open most of the time when Windows has frozen, but it might not be OBS. What happens is that I'll click on something and everything stops. Videos stop playing the clock stops ticking It's like Windows get's frozen in time. However the mouse still works I can close some applications I can even open some that are on the desktop. But if I search the start menu I can type in the box but the start menu goes blank. I can not shut down Windows or log off or sleep. I have to hold down the power button to reboot the laptop. My CPU utilization is under 75% same with the GPU.
I'm afraid this will happen during show so I'm trying to figure out how to fix it.
I have tried most of the things listed on the Microsoft help page defragging, checking system files, yadda yadda
SO long story short TLDR is this happening to anyone else?
