Question / Help Any benefit to using Windows 10 over 7?

I set up a dedicated streaming PC, it has windows 7 but I was wondering if windows 10 would be any better. If it gives even the slightest performance increase I'll upgrade it, but if not I'll keep it at windows 7.

Again all the PC will be doing is streaming. Gaming will be done on another PC.

It's not "far" better, but it is better if you are going to use its features. If comparing raw performance in games and other tasks, they are basically the same

No benefits for dedicated streaming PC from the OS. It (w10) manages better only Mircosoft's own network ("workgroup" stuff), but using general protocols... I see no difference. If you have latest hardware and it has only w10 support, then w10 is only the option.

Most of the gripes about windows 10 have proven to be little more than people whining about it being "different"

Under the hood, windows 10's performance is definitely better.

Aero on windows 7 is annoying as hell to deal with.

Yah, I think I'll go ahead and upgrade. Again I don't care about any windows 10 features or game performance so thanks for all the comments about that but it's not really necessary because I will only use this PC for streaming, the signal coming from a capture card.
