Question / Help Another "my screen is white" post

Hi guys, OBS stopped working from me on the game "WWE 2K18" and I can't figure out why. It worked fine a couple of days ago, but now all I get is either nothing at all when trying "Game Capture" which only leads to a 1 pixel white square in the upper left corner without showing anything if I fit it to the window, or a white screen when trying "Window Capture". It could be related to updating my windows recently to the newest Windows 10 version, or updating my graphic driver, but I am not sure about that.

Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4.00 GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
Windows 10

- No second display adapter
- No second monitor
- Tried this already: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/
- Restarted OBS, restarted Windows, reinstalled OBS
- Tried Window Capture and Game Capture. With/without "Multi-adapter" compatability, with/without Anti-Cheat
- Changed a bunch of settings in WWE 2K18, like switching to windowed/fullscreen, deactivating/activating couple of settings

I can't see any other solution, but maybe anyone has an idea? thanks in advance

edit: ok, I can't believe I overlooked this. Started OBS "as administrator" and now it worked. I was trying to find a solution for 3 days now...but thanks anyway guys.

Sorry to bump this post but hope this helps someone. I just had this "white screen' problem and found one main cause. I access OBS remotely via VNC to service 10 different live broadcasts. After doing some monitor swapping I found out that if your PC is NOT connected to a monitor OBS will show a white screen. Same goes for laptops if the laptop is closed OBS will show a white screen.
Cheers!

Agree on this finding.

Access via RDP seems to work fine , My home PC is without screen and i have my work PC connected to my desktop screens at my desk at home.
Access then to my stationary home PC ( where i run OBS ) is via RDP and everything worked out fine from install.
While away i needed to access and restart my stationary, jumped in via Google Remote Desktolp and got this annoying white screen when restarting OBS.
Tried basically everything that i could google up including reinstall of OBS vi Google Remote desktop ( via Google Chrome )

When i got home.. Fired up OBS ( via local RDP ) and everything worked as before..
Seems like at OBS startup there is a need for a screen ( or RDP ) ,
while running it just works fine until you restart OBS and then the white screen shows up.

Hope the bove summary will give some help to others that hve run into the white screen issue.
