I'm going crazy here trying to figure out how to configure the audio with OBS for a streaming session from my recording studio.
What I want to achieve is to have both a mic input (that's very easy to set up with any webcam including a mic) and the sound from my analog mixing desk.
That's where it gets tricky : as i use a soundcard to send multiple outputs from Ableton Live to the mixing desk, it means I can't have a simple stereo output from Ableton for all the tracks, my main output is the stereo output from my mixing desk.
I managed to get the sound from my mixing desk by routing my mixing desk output to a secondary soundcard plugged to my computer, opening a second audio software - in my case Logic, creating an audio track with the input coming from the mixing to monitor it through Logic and setting up Logic audio output in the preferences to iShowU to route it to OBS... Pretty complicated for something that should be simple.
Is there anyway to route a stereo INPUT from the main soundcard to OBS? So far, the only way I found to route the sound from any application to OBS on Mac is by using iShowU or BlackHole etc.. which doesn't work in this case.
