Question / Help AMD Encoder vs CPU x264 Why the same Impact?

I was hoping by using the AMD Encoder that I would not lose FPS while recording. (Local High Quality Recording)
But it turned out that I have the same drops in frames as if I would use the CPU or am I getting something wrong here?
(Recording: pending FPS 40-50 ---- Not Recording Pending FPS 50-60)
Is the AMD Encoder literally just that, an encoder and the Load is still applied to the CPU?

And is there a way to apply CRF to the AMD Encoder?

Try fr-043 demo with both setups (equal quality settings!). Monitor your CPU load while recording. Compare.

I can't do the equal Quality setting, because I don't know how to set a CRF in AMD Encoder.

And I don't have VCE enabled hardware.,, What we supposed to do now?

I would say I wait for someone who knows (no offense!) cause as of now, the performance hit is the same and the Quality of x264 better. (With the settings I know though :P)

If you can't beat one settings, you should 'worse' other encoder and compare.
