So, I've had this issue for about a year.
Since I started using OBS Multiplatform/Studio, there has always been a crackling sound whenever I record or stream. After reading countless forum posts, I was always under the impression that it had something to do with my microphone. That's what the answer seemed to be with others that had similar problems.
I just bought a brand new Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ microphone, thinking that it was going to be the answer to all of my problems.
Here's the thing: I still get the same exact crackling no matter the microphone. USB, plugged into the motherboard audio input, etc.
This is an example I just recorded using OBS with the AT2020USB+ mic:

The kicker is that, as stated before, this only happens when I use OBS to record or stream. Here is another recording I just made using Sound Recorder:

I don't get it. This is a problem with something in OBS. I dunno what. I dunno where to even look.
And yes, I have adjusted the gain/noise suppression/noise gate filters and they don't help at all.
Anyone... please... this is just driving me up the wall. I've ignored it for a year but man, my brain fries each time I boot up OBS to record or stream.
Here is my current log file, it it helps: https://gist.github.com/063e4dd5c8d6ac6bee20cab5947fe941
Any help would be appreciated
