Question / Help Almost no support for video capture devices in OBS Studio

Hello,

I have a flawless experience getting video capture devices (my webcam and game capture device) to work in the original OBS standalone for windows, but I decided to switch to OBS studio and I've had nothing but issues. In general, no video capture device will show up unless I mess with them extensively (unplug/plug in devices from my computer, initialize/deinitialize, delete and add sources over and over again until they randomly work) for literally hours.

I have checked my log files, and I noticed there are a ton of errors, but this is odd as I just installed the default obs studio file on the OBS official site. Can anyone provide input on why I may be having a ton of issues?

Log File is attached and in the text below:

Some devices has limitations. When you add the same 'Video Capture Device' to a different scenes: use Add Existing (cloning).

Are you running a pretty aggressive Anti-Virus software? It looks like you are missing quite a few files from the errors in the log. Some times Anti-Virus software detects functions as false positives and will remove the file including them.
You can maybe white-list the obs-studio folder if necessary and re-install obs to fix those errors. Then, for some devices, it might be necessary to run the 32bit version of OBS as they offer no 64bit drivers. So if you run into problems with your devices, you might want to try that.
