So I have a problem with OBS, while I have figured everything out I have run into a bug I am currently trying to fix.
Most of the videos I create are fine, until I put them into my editing software (Lightworks), then after a unspecified amount of time, it cuts to black, audios fine though. The only way I have fixed this is by using another import method and deleting that section, problem is it causes major quality loss.
The settings I currently have need to be there.
------------------------------------
Bitrate = 32400
VBR
2 audio tracks
keyframe interval = 0
Two pass Encoding = On
B-Frames = 1
------------------------------------
Output format = MP4
Encoder = NVENC H.264
------------------------------------
Now I do believe I know the issue, I am currently running tests on videos as I believe if I can find a small video that isn't 7gb and has a issue. I tried something the other day, I played a game and every 5 minutes I restarted the recording, when I plugged them in, they didn't have the black out. I am wondering if it's because the videos that break are 30+ minutes long.
What I would like is a way that I could somehow set OBS to stop recording every, say, 10 minutes, and then start recording again automatically. Maybe doing that I could bypass it.
And the other issue, the videos I made have the bug. For referance I also plugged the videos into EyeFrame twice, both a diff video, I put them in, and it broke. I put a 7gb video in and EyeFrame turned it into a 70gb file, I put another video in, and it came out 120gb. I have tried many things. I am hoping a small video can pop up and I will be able to figure it out with some editing.
ANOTHER alternative is...could I somehow get OBS to output videos as .avi's? I have a program called VirtualDub, but when inputting videos, it can only save them as .avi's, I would like to be able to save videos as .avi's instead of MP4's as I could put it in VirtualDub and it'd cause no quality loss, as it's basically saving a document.
