Question / Help All types of recording problems

I've tried all sorts of settings and can't seem to reliably record video. It's black screen right now.

Sometimes it's only a black screen (sometimes it's fine)
Sometimes it's only the first frame (sometimes it's fine)
Sometimes it's choppy (sometimes it's fine)
Sometimes the audio is way out of sync, despite being apparently recorded at CFR (sometimes it's fine)
And, sometimes, it's fine.

Also, there seems to be a symptom that sometimes explorer starts to increase in memory until it maxes out and causes problems, and must be restarted. This only started when I started using OBS.

A point of suspicion I have is that OBS doesn't like the 690/SLI.

My intent is to use NVENC and record in CFR to avoid audio sync problems, but x264 has the same problems. The video is to be later edited and is intentionally of a high bit rate. FPS is 120-150 in game and there isn't a noticeable drop using NVENC. No camera at the moment, just game play. I'm on a single monitor right now so I don't find out about any recording problems until hours later.

Try:
Video settings:
Base Resolution: Same as yours in the game.
Output resolution: 1920x1080
Downscale Filters: Lanczos
Fps limit: 60
Output Settings - Recording - Advanced:
Rate Control: CQP
CQP: 15
Keyint: 2
Default: High quality
Profile: high
2-pass: Enabled
- or try -
Rate Control: VBR
Bit rate: 50000 - Should be good enough bit rate for high quality recordings.
Keyint: 2
Default: High quality
Profile: high
2-pass: Enabled

Keyint: Defines IDR frames, which should be set to double the recording fps value. Also controls GOP size, which should set it to automatically .5 of your recording fps value.

Can you let me know with a recording attempt inclusive logfile please, I don't have a nVidia GPU or SLI so would like to see if those settings are good for your setup for future assistance of others.
