All my VLC sources are blanked after import scene

Hi!
Have a scene saved containing VLC sources among some text and image objects.
Problem is when I import them to another installation all the vlc sources ar shown with a document type icon and has nothing in them when I open them. It just says "no settings available". There is an option to set standard values but nothing happens when I press it.

What´s up here?

Update: can this be a program version incompability issue? The scenes were created on latest .4 version. Import vas on an install with .2 version.

The VLC source probably isn't loading on your other installation, check the log.

Found them :-)

The log says it failed to find and create the vlc sources:

14:28:17.081: Source ID 'vlc_source' not found
14:28:17.081: Failed to create source 'Encoder 6'!
14:28:17.081: Source ID 'vlc_source' not found
14:28:17.081: Failed to create source 'Encoder 5'!
14:28:17.081: Source ID 'vlc_source' not found
14:28:17.081: Failed to create source 'Encoder 4'!
14:28:17.081: Source ID 'vlc_source' not found
14:28:17.081: Failed to create source 'Encoder 3'!
14:28:17.081: Source ID 'vlc_source' not found
14:28:17.081: Failed to create source 'Encoder 2'!
14:28:17.082: Source ID 'vlc_source' not found
14:28:17.082: Failed to create source 'Encoder 1'!

...so why is it failing? Are not enough information included when I export the scene from the other computer?

Have updated so both installs are on same OBS version (27.2.4) but I still get the same error:

I really need this to work since I need to send scenes to other users in our organization with the right vlc source settings.
Hope anyone has any suggestion. Thanks in advance!

...this is me realising I had not installed VLC on PC2!
So: after vlc is installed everything works fine.
Sorry to take space and time in this forum with my stupidness.

...but maybe future versions of OBS Studio could incorporate an idiot warning if VLC is missing when trying to import and use VLC video sources :-)
