Alert play in stream but not on audio monitor

Hello everyone,
I have done searching on this, but I couldn't find any solution.
So I have created follow alerts on the streamlabs website. In OBS, I used the browser source to get them on stream. The alerts actually play on stream, but I get no sound or visual alert in my audio monitor. I cannot figure out why.
In the different scenes I have, the alert source is always on top.
When I do a test alert from the streamlabs website, the alert sound plays and the visual alert appears in obs. Only when I am live, does this not happen.
Here is what I have done:
I refreshed the alert links in streamlabs
I removed the source from OBS and created a new one
I checked on twitch if any extensions are installed that could interfere. I have none installed.

This makes it really hard to interact with new followers.
Do you guys have any idea, how I can get the alert audio on my audio monitor?
(As a setup, I am using a GoXLR mini to which my headphones [audio monitor] is connected).

Thanks in advance!

You need some kind of Output-Device, that you choose in OBS as monitoring device and then you have to get it back to the GOXLR.

This is what I did: My onboard sound card has an optical (SPDIF) output. I connected this output with an optical cable to the "console" input of the GoXLR. In OBS I chose the onboard SPDIF output as monitoring device.
In the GoXLR mixer I turned up the colume of "console" to 100 and in the mixing matrix I set the output of "console" to "headphone" ... et voila ... you have all monitoring outputs from OBS on your wired headphone connected to the GoXLR.

If your onboard soundcard does not have an optical output use "line out" from your PC and connect it to "line in" of the GoXLR, set the volume and headphone output for line in. Choose your onboard "line out" as monitoring device on OBS. If there is noise on the connection between line out (PC) and line in (XLR) use an audio filter for 3,5mm audio jack cables. This is not needed if you have an optical connection as described above ... as there is no electric connection .. only light :)

I’m in the same boat. I use a rotating widget for my alerts and used custom sounds for the alerts using StreamElements and everything checks out during tests but the second I go live, no audio on my end. I to am using the GOXLR as my primary audio source. I’m new to a major set up so I’m not sure if you have to isolate the alert sounds on a certain audio track or what? Right now, I’m coping with the fact I won’t hear shit, but I would like to.

I was having this issue with my Streamlabs Alerts after fighting with my bluetooth connectivity. I could hear the alerts sometimes when testing, and other times not at all, meanwhile they were being heard in stream thank goodness.

The only time I could hear them all the time is by launching the browser link in the alert box section in OBS. That might be a temp fix for you guys in the mean time. Launch it before stream and minimize to the task bar so you can at least have that since the sound will be playing from the browser source. I JUST and I mean in the last few minutes was finally able to hear my alerts through OBS. I'm not sure if this will fix my issue when I go live or not but in the mean time its working.

File>Settings>Audio>Monitoring Device>I selected what I didn't want to use>Apply>OK. Then Did the steps again but reapplied the device I DID want to use. All of a sudden sound...

Hello, I know I might be late for this but hopefully I can help others. Just made an account specifically for this purpose. xD

So, what helped me was :
In OBS, go to Sources tab , Right click on Alert Box -> Properties -> Check box for Control audio via OBS
Been looking for this for a while , hopefully this will solve others problems as well <3

Addionally , how I ended up with this answer : I saw that in Windows -> Sound Mixer - there were two instances of OBS that were being triggered, OBS ( with default icon ) and OBS-browser-page.exe (with a page icon)- which made me thing it's about the Source which is actually a web link, made me realise I should check it's properties ^ ^
