Question / Help Alert box not functioning properly.

Alrighty, so I too am having an alertbox issue. It will not display EXCEPT when I run a test.

I have deleted and started over both the obs and streamlabs settings. I have literally started from scratch for both platforms.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing works.

I can only get the alerts to happen when I am hitting TEST.

If it works when you are hitting the TEST button, it has been set up correctly in OBS. It's literally the same process when you hit TEST on the website as for any other alert... it sends a message to the alertbox running in the browser source and does its thing.

You need to contact the alert provider to troubleshoot further why other alerts aren't automatically triggering. If it works with the TEST button, their server is not sending out triggers when an automated alert comes in. That isn't something on the OBS side, that's on the alert provider side.

Do note that many alert providers do automatically mute/pause their alerts if your stream is not currently detected as being live at the time.
