Question / Help Alarming pixels and black screen

This is a problem I've only had since moving from my desktop computer to a laptop. Every time i record a video I end up with really bad glitches. Oddly enough, there are more of them present while editing my video in vegas pro than in the actual finished video, this led me to believe it was an issue with vegas' preview and that my footage was fine. Unfortunately, when I uploaded my video to youtube i found the issue still there, but lesser. Anyone know a fix? I already looked for my nvidia settings, but couldn't find nvidia on my computer at all.

here's a link to the video in question, with the time of a glitch: https://youtu.be/zCjLuRVdyV0?t=3m7s

You can try to remultiplex the video before putting it into the video editor (.mp4 to .mp4). This is lossless process, just try main menu File>Remux Recordings, usually it helps to resolve many HW encoders problems. Carefully select the source/destination filenames to not overwrite the source!

Because you recording directly to .mp4 - you may want to take a look at this post too: Stopping recording never ends

Thank you! This has helped a lot of my problem. Now I only have the black at the beginning and end of my recording, and it is much less glitchy. Is there someone wrong with recording direct to mp4? is there a better format? I tried the default setting when i first downloaded it, but it left me with a file i couldn't do anything with. .flv i think was the type.
