After 26.1.0 update ... Blackscreen (with log)

I've successfully been using OBS for a year without issue. Absolutely nothing has been changed or tweaked in my settings, OBS just worked.

However, since the 26.1.0 update I now get a blackscreen when trying to connect to my Blackmagic Intensity card. I can verify that the capture card still works simply by loading the Media Express software which works fine.
  • I've double-checked the properties but everything there is still good.
  • I've tried creating a new scene but result is the same blackscreen.
  • Recording the desktop works fine.

I opted to force a version of OBS using Synaptic Package manager to get back to a functional version.

For any devs out there, here is the log for the reverted version:

I had the same problem. Resolved by re-installing version 26.0 (or earlier). You can get the version on the OBS Website - Downloads - Previous Releases - scroll down to 26.0 Bug Fixes - Click on Assets - and you will find the 26.0 download. After downloading you can install the software (do not need to uninstall 26.1) and all should be fine!

Hi guys, OBS still having the issue of not showing video in 26.1.0 with latest BlackMagic 1.7 video software update. I did roll back to 26.0.2 but of course that can't be the "final answer". PLEASE send information HOW TO UPGRADE to 26.1.0 without BM Video issues. BTW - we missed nearly 1/3 of our Sunday Morning preaching due to this error. I scrambled and created an alt way to get the service out, but missing the Praise and Worship really changes the feel of the message. Many of our members stay home due to CoVID -- thanks in advanced for the fix.

I have this only my screen is green and I run Windows. Both of my BM cards worked in 26.0.2 but not 26.1. I went back to 26.0.2 and they both work again.

I had the same problem.

Uninstalled 2.1, reinstalled 2.0.6. STILL couldn't see video from ATEM Mini.

So, I switched to studio mode in OBS (2.0.6) and could see the red outline for source under the preview window. So, I pulled red box back to preview box, switched back to regular(?) or simple or whatever mode and everything was working. Uninstalled 2.0.6, reinstalled 2.1 and it seems to work correctly. Might just try studio mode in 2.1 and see if you can drag source back to preview window there.

I don't remember ever having to do this other than when I setup OBS the first time.

Hello, i have the green screen problem. How can I revert back to 26.0.2 on Ubuntu because this version is not available any more on the official repository ?
