Question / Help After 2-3 hours RTSP IP camera stream freezes in OBS

Hi,

After 2 to 3 hours (sometimes it takes more) the RTSP stream from my Foscam IP camera freezes. I am using VLC Video Source in OBS.
By simply clicking the hide/unhide button in 'Sources', OBS shows the stream again just fine (for a couple of hours, at the most).

This frequent freezing does not occur in VLC or ISpy. I had a constant stream for days there. OBS is not able to keep the camera streaming. There is nothing in the log files about this freeze.

Is there a way to automatically hide/unhide by script every hour or so? This would make the stream go down for a second or two, but it is far much better than freezes.

I have the exact same issue. Even trying options "Always play even when not visible", "Pause when not visible, unpause when visible", or "Stop when not visible, restart when visible" it never refreshes the feed form that camera. It's like it doesn't even try or doesn't realize that the video has frozen.

Set to repeat mode
Select my 1 source out 4 that gets stuck
Duration ( How long it plays before it's going to Hide itself ) I tested this at 20 seconds 1st and works great. Have it set for 30 min now.
Hold time ( How long to hide it, 1 second

I noticed the script might not run when changing settings, just hide and unhide manually and it will kick in. Will update further if anything changes.
