Question / Help Affordable stereo audio interface that works with OBS?

I will be recording and mixing multitrack audio into Pro Tools on my desktop system for a live FB streaming event. I want to send the stereo mix into my MacBook Pro and OBS to use it for the audio portion of my stream. I imagine the best way to do that is to send the analog stereo output from my Pro Tools rig to a stereo audio interface hooked up to my MBP, but I want to use one that OBS will recognize. I've already got a MoTU MicroBook II lying around (USB), but I've heard that OBS doesn't recognize them. Suggestions?

Another thought— I have a CalDigit TS3 dock with a 3.5 mm audio input. Will OBS recognize that if I select it as the audio input for my MBP?

I'm going to guess that if you already have this equipment available, trying yourself will be faster than waiting for someone else to either find these pieces of equipment and test, or waiting for someone who already has this configuration to see this post and reply.

Myself I do not have either of these interfaces. I have used a variety of USB mixers from different manufacturers (Yamaha, Behringer, M-Audio) and they usually work. I have not used any thunderbolt audio interfaces so I don't know that any work in OBS specifically, not am I familiar with the MicroBook.
