Question / Help Advise on a new PC setup

Hi there,

I hope someone could let me know his opinion on this:

Next week I wish to purchase a new PC which will primarily be used for recording/streaming (sometimes even simultanously) and for cutting/rendering only. The encoder in OBS shall be x264 and the CPU usage preset at least fast or even medium.

The Games I record will run on another system and the picture will be transferred to the new PC via the Elgato HD60S which is already in use. My main question is, if you wiuld suggest to buy an Intel or an AMD CPU. While the first is strongest in gaming performance (yet) there have been some rumours/opinions on AMD being better for CPU intensive software that uses more than 4 cores as they are concentrating on 6-8+ cores. Of course Intel also offers CPUs with more than 4 cores but as my budget is around 1.500-2.000 € I think that AMD might be a more reasonable choice (?).

Furthermore, even though this new machine will in first instance be used for the above mentioned tasks, I would also like it to run current games smoothly on 1080p (in case a friend comes over for a quick gaming session).

What do you think about these machines?:

Not sure if 2 cores more or less will make a huge difference on a dedicated streaming/recording/rendering machine?

Thanks in advance to everyone who gives me some advice,

Alan
