Question / Help Advice (or help) on multi-audio track video recording with OBS (and video editing software)

I'm trying to set up my system so that I can eventually record videos with three audio tracks (desktop/game, microphone, and third-party chat software). I also play in VR so I'm simultaneously trying to use Voicemeeter to easily switch between different mic-devices.

I'm using Voicemeeter Banana, Virtual cable and OBS.

Replay

I can use third-party software to chat with friends with no problem. When I try replaying a recording, all the audio appears on one track and I haven't been able to separate the audio into three separate tracks so far.

The programs I'm using to replay my video clips are Moviemaker, VLC media player, and Lightworks x64 (v.14.0)

If anyone can see where I've gone wrong, give any advice, or otherwise helpful hints then I'd be very grateful.

Thanks.

Edit: My windows playpack/recording settings are pretty much the same; VM is the default device and VB cable A is the default communication device.

Thanks for the link. I understand, or at least think I do, the theory behind the setting up the different tracks.
I had my Desktop going to track one, Mic going to track 2, and third-party software going to track 3. However, when I replayed the recorded video, all audio sources were appearing in the same single track.

Then you didn't configure it correctly in OBS or you didn't select the correct track in your media player.

It probably is because my OBS isn't configured correctly. That is why I made my original post containing a request for troubleshooting advice as well as a link to screenshots of my settings.

There was no option to "select any tracks" in any of the media players which I tried .

I opened up the recorded file and all sound tracks played correctly. What I would like is the option to remove individual tracks. The only program I used which showed separate audio tracks was Lightworks, and that showed a waveform of all three tracks copied onto all of the displayed audio tracks, as stated in my original post.

It turns out that the issue is with Lightworks. The current version doesn't properly support multi-track audio in an mp4 container.

After trying the Videopad video editor instead of Lightworks, I found that VP played files with my mic track, whereas LW played the same file but with my Desktop/game audio.

Can anyone suggest any video editing software that allows more than one audio track?

Thanks. After more testing over the weekend, the problem with Audio tracks was down to the editing software I was using.
I checked out the trials of Adobe Premier and Sony Vegas and will probably go with one of them. I'm currently erring on the said of Vegas.

The free version of LW only seems to allow two audio tracks, and apparently requires a minimum bit rate (8 Mbs(?)) when recording in order to differentiate between the two different audio tracks.
