Question / Help Advantage of a dedicated GPU as encoder

Hi,
Like the title says. Which are the advantages or disadvantages for the system/obs to use a second gpu as a dedicated encoder ?

If your cpu does not have enough pci-e lanes, then using a second GPU will bring down the PCI-e link speed to 8x (maximum) for both GPU's, which can cause problems when running OBS and a game.
Also the encoder on a NVIDIA card is a seperate chip, which won't affect the performance of the GPU, so there isn't really a point.
