Bug Report Advanced Settings Audio Monitoring Device Not Working

The advanced settings audio monitoring device doesn't appear to be doing anything. I have a number of available outputs, but regardless of what I select monitor audio just gets sent to the system output.

My audio routing is a Multi-Output Device that gangs WavTap and my Scarlet Solo USB (which I use as a headphone amp and occasional input), and I use the monitor primarily to listen to the signal from my PS3 routed through a BlackMagic Intensity Pro.

I can confirm that OBS sends only to the system output because if I set the system output to my MOD then the audio will appear (in OBS) on both the Desktop Audio and BM_Intensity devices. If I switch my system output to Scarlet Solo then I hear the audio in my headphones, but the Desktop Audio device goes silent. If I set system output to WavTap then headphones go silent, but signal shows on both devices.

Even setting the audio monitoring device to the Intensity Pro outputs (and hooking speakers up to those outputs) still sends monitor audio only to the system, nothing comes out of the Intensity speakers.

Yup! This has never worked for me on MacOS. It lists input devices instead of output devices, and even if you create a virtual device to try and route it, it doesn't work.

Works fine under Linux and Windows.
