Question / Help Advanced Scene Switcher on Ubuntu 19.10

I am running OBS Studio 25.0.3 on Ubuntu 19.10. I have downloaded and installed the Advanced Scene Switcher (advanced-scene-switcher.so) in the obs-plugins folder, which Ubuntu places in /usr/share/obs/obs-plugins. File permissions are set at R/W for the owner and R for all others. The advanced-scene-switcher does not appear in the Tools menu even after shutting down and restarting OBS. If there are any configuration instructions for the advanced-scene-switcher, I have been unable to find them. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I found the answer to the problem. The version of OBS-Studio that I installed with 19.10's Synaptic Package Manager is obsolete. After downloading the current version via a ppa problem solved.
