Advanced encoding settings not showing // Best codec with alpha-channel?

Hey Guys,

so I am very new to OBS so hopefully this is not a bunch of dumb questions to you ;-)

I am looking for a way to customize the encoding settings for stream recording (no live streaming) for parameters like:

• Audio Bitrate
• iframes
• h264 profile
• CBR/VBR
• etc.

I've seen screenshots with this options but i only can select from high, indistinguishable, lossless. How do I unlock the additional parameters?

Also, I am having high CPU usage with AVIs in Grass Valley HQX videos with alpha-channels. Is there a recommended codec for video with alpha?
Each video layer consumes ~30% CPU on a 2700X which sort of kills my CPU with more than 2 layers with transparency :D

CBR VBR OUTPUT TAB in OBS settings and then Advanced settings enable ?!?!
audio Bitrate is on output -> Audio tab
Iframes ??? Iframes you only need this on VBR or i false here ?

AHHHH oh man... i was totally blind to this little drop down above... I've searched for hours, never seeing this :(
