advanced audio properties while running remote

hello group, new here. Hope this is in right part of the forum. Been using OBS for couple years, going to have to run remotely this Sunday and have a question about audio. I would like to be able to hear audio on my end while remote and not sure the best way to hear it. I have tried going into advanced audio and changing monitor off to monitor and output, but seems when i tried a while ago the house picked up audio from somewhere, is the another way to do this? or suggestions.

What audio path do you have now, and what audio path will you have after that change? A bit of cynical pessimism goes a long way here, because you're looking for potential problems.

What is "house" here? Front-of-House for live sound? Your house at home?
What did "somewhere" sound like? (see the first part of this post)
