Question / Help Adjusting Console Output to Desktop

Hey guys and gals!

Long time lurker however today I decided to jump over to OBS Studio for streaming. My current issue and the one thing that may force me back to OBS original is a lack of controlling the audio from the console while it outputs to my desktop.

As indicted by the image, OBS original has a volume control for consoles while outputting to your desktop. However I have not found a way to control the volume in Studio. I have tried adjusting the bar, I have tried checking filters. The only thing that works sort of, is reducing OBS Studio overall volume from my desktop.

This causes issues since I do interactive audio commands, alerts, and typical PC games I play.

Is there a way to adjust the console volume like the original OBS or has this essential feature not found in the current OBS Studio?

Any help would be wonderful! Thanks!

Have you tried looking at the mixer? It allows you to change the volume for any source playing audio.

I have however I am trying to avoid buying a piece of hardware that software use to do the same thing but for free.

No he means the OBS mixer. There is a gear above the audio bars that you already tried adjusting click it.

In the mixer you can change the volume higher than 100.

Then you adjusted the wrong slider, there should be one for each source including your capture. If it doesn't and instead outputs to desktop audio itself bypassing obs, then the issue is not with obs.

Back up. I feel there was a miscommunication. What I am saying is I want the audio to output to the desktop however Vanilla OBS had the option to still allow you to adjust the volume of the console audio. OBS Studio however seems to disregard console audio the moment you output to desktop.

I am trying to find a work around otherwise I have to go back to OBS vanilla if I want to stream with any of my consoles.

I'm not sure that OBS Studio currently supports outputting audio to desktop at all, if that's what you wanted.

Yos, OBS Studio does not output audio.
If you go into audio output, see original post, you will see two options for outputting to PC.

Honestly I am thinking that function is currently broken. Even though the original version of OBS had it, seems Studio is not ready for that feature.
