Question / Help adding VST Plugin issue

I saw a couple tutorials explaining how I can use VST plugins. I downloaded them from Reaper at the link they showed. (Actually I use Reaper for my recoding studio). The problem is that I see what is downloaded in my download folder but 1. it doesn't look like anything like the effects that they talk about in the tutorial, 2. I can't find the right place to place the VST Plugins in order for OSB to retrieve those effects when I call up VST Pluggins in OSB settings. They should show up in that filters dropdown. Please advise. Thank you

What version of ReaPlugs are you trying to use on MacOS? Because as far as I know they are Windows only plugins. The Reaper DAW has an old version that runs on MacOS, but the plugins are windows only.

If you need plugins I would use the KVR Audio website and narrow your search for effects to AUs and VSTs that support MacOS.
