Adding video conference into stream

I do a live video podcast where i interview someone with a split screen. I am currently using skype with OBS built in window capture, but it's really resource heavy, and not all of my guests have skype or can set it up easily. Is there any better app that someone can just download and maybe have a better way to input the video into OBS? Maybe like a virtual capture device? Or maybe something like gotomeeting that lets you connect from your browser using only a link?

Not yet, no.
Once the skype creator's update comes through it'll be a LOT easier to do captures of video conference members with, since it'll offer an NDI feed per member of the conference.

Just as a reminder - Skype Creators update is now available, so NDI works OOB. But still you can use OBS Browser and meet.jit.si

I have used Skype's NDI output to OBS, but keep having issues with the resolution of Skype changing. Is there a way to lock Skype into a certain size, regardless of what it is sending me via NDI?
