Question / Help Adding a display capture causes fullscreen game to lag

Hello,
I use game capture to capture my primary monitor (144hz) and am trying to add a display capture of my 2nd monitor (60hz) cropped to add in a visualizer. This causes the game I'm playing to drop frames and seem really choppy. Disabling only the display capture fixes the issue but I'd still like the option to be able to add one. This also doesn't seem to be a result of the difference in monitor refresh rates as I get the same error when adding a display capture of my primary monitor. Any help would be appreciated as this has been the only issue I haven't been able to figure out through trial/error or looking up solutions.
